Vol. 27 No. 3, June 1974, pp. 2–39

The monograph is concerned with Buddhist sculpture created during Licchavi rule in Nepal (mid-4th to mid-9th centuries). It examines the chronology of the different types of chaityas at various sites, and reassesses the iconographic details of the Buddha, the Bodhisattvas Avalokitesvara, Maitreya, and Vajrapani, and goddesses.
